Hours: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm (make sure you are set up and ready by 8:00)

Cost

Fee of $75.00 will guarantee a spot each week. Non-refundable after the first business day of the Market.


Other option:

Pop Up: you can become a floater with a fee of $15 per Saturday, not to exceed $75 in a single season.


Market’s Expectation of Vendor

  • All produce must be HOME grown and non-food items must be hand made by vendor. If your produce is not home grown but grown locally you must post a sign stating: “Not All Items are Home Grown”
  • All vendors must make every effort to present their selves every Saturday through the season.
  • All vendors are responsible for adhering and/or obtaining correct licensing for local county, state and federal regulations & requirements.
  • Vendors selling produce by weight must provide “legal for trade” scales and are subject to inspection by the Department of Agriculture’s “Weights and Measures” program. The scale’s display readers must be visible to the customers.
  • Prepared foods & bake goods vendors must meet the Ohio Department of Agriculture’s regulatory requirements. For further information: https://agri.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/oda/divisions/food-safety/resources/


Taxes, Insurance, Licenses, Permits and Special Requirements:

Any applicable retail sales taxes are the responsibility of the individual vendor.

Market Insurance does not cover individual vendors. It is necessary that all vendors carry their own liability insurance.

Tips to keep your spot active:

Partner with another farmer/crafter to fill in when you are unable to be there. Keeping a full active market brings and maintains customers!


Set Up Policy and Needs:

  • Be ready by 7:30 am & break down begins 12:00 pm (no earlier).
  • You must provide your own tables, chairs, display equipment and tent.
  • Tent is optional. If using a tent, it must be in good condition and properly weighted down due to wind conditions.
  • Signage that represents your business and goods.
  • Pricing labels for all products must be clear and visible to all customers.
  • The look and feel of the market is important to the vendors, customers and community. All vendor’s produce, merchandise and equipment must be in good working order and neatly displayed.
  • End of the day make sure you leave your assigned area clean and litter free. Do not leave or dump your over ripe produce in the receptacles around the court house.


Market etiquette:

  • Price undercutting is strictly prohibited
  • Vendors are expected to present and sell high quality products and handle any return issues if needed respectfully.
  • Pets must be leashed and friendly with people and other pets. Please clean up after your pets.
  • Children need to be supervised at all times. The market is not responsible for their safety.
  • Vendors & their representatives should conduct themselves in a respectful manner, be safe and courteous with customers, market staff and each other.
  • Smoking is prohibited between the curb and the knee wall of the courthouse.
  • Consumption of alcohol and controlled or illegal substances while working at the market is strictly prohibited.


Complaint Policy:

  • Vendor complaints should be expressed in a written form and given to the market manager.
  • Customer complaints will be first handled by the vendor.
  • If customers complains to market manager regarding a vendor the manager will discuss the complaint with the vendor and find a solution to the disagreement together.
